For all the dedicated SnE fans we have out there… If you are all fretting about where Supernova 8 is (which you shouldn’t be, because it is not actually due until tomorrow) you can rest assured that there won’t be one this week. I am a new dad and I am taking a week off to be with my wife and new baby boy, who was born as of 1:36 this afternoon.

The most important character in the Trinity of “Farmer, Field, and Seed” is the the field. This is the setting for our action. Any farmer can operate following any plan on the field, but the action always occurs within the field. It could be any combination of farmer-seed, but the field is always the same. Without the field, there is no farming, and therefore no need for the farmer or the seed.
For our purposes, the field represents the Objective conditions in which the farmer finds himself. Expanded out from the analogy, the field represents, genericly, the world, or more specifically, the society.

Ladies and Gentlemen, We are happy to report that Supernova 7 has been produced. This is the first show of the new year of Creepy Sleepy… Heh heh. We talked about corrupt politicians, British Opinion about the French, the lack of any polls regarding American opinion about the rest of the world, and Al Gore. The show is the first topically oriented show, as one discussion moves with seamless ease into another.
This show also witnessed the rise of the new personality in Supernova Earth’s Internet Broadcasting Empire, the flamingly gay correspondent, Duane, who runs a hair styling salon here in Missoula. Duane will be a regular component of the show in the future, presenting opinions and rants Andy Rooney Style, with some serious suggestions for solutions to the world’s problems. Welcome aboard Duane, the “anti-popparazzi of the Supernova Earth Universe.”

Supernova # 6 is now out, and I really liked making it. We discussed The war, of course, and counterrecruitment, of course. We also talked about the issue that is still hotbutton, and has been this entire month, Immigration, and our racist attitudes toward the issue. There was also a discusison about Karl Rove being indicted and not believing what you read or hear on the internet.
The post mortem: It was a fairly tight show. I still suffer from lack of production, but it is getting better. Having my supply of PSA’s is a lifesaver, and I am approaching a critical mass of ramps, which is good. Beds are not a problem. It is just that commercials and show promos and sweepers, the elements that make the show fun to listen to, are just in such short supply, and I haven’t really had the time necessary to do real good production. That will be changed by the summer’s arrival, so, hopefully in the coming weeks I will have more production to freshen up the sound of the show, and get a little diversity in there. Reminds me of our earliest days on the radio. and coming back from XMas vacation… We had plenty of stuff around the election, but not a whole lot at the two starting points on the radio. Slowly, but surely that catalogue of production bits is growing, and I really REALLY look forward to it.
Of course, the commentary is on the top of the game, that’s not a problem. But any suggestions people may have, either write them out here as “comments” or visit the forum to write about it.

I have put Supernova 5 out. It is perhaps one of my more radical statements, where I talk directly to troops. It is doubtful that any of them are listening to the show, but it can’t hurt to have it out there .
I also included a little radio play that features the talents of Ms. Mallary Allen, that we call “Contract Negotiations“. It was fun to put together. I celebrate this one because it is the first guest voice on my show in a month and a half!
